I think having fewer pounds/kilos/stone to lose is harder to do than with many. On the plant based diet you can very quickly lose weight if you have more weight to lose, possibly because your body is getting better nutrition.
However, I've pretty much been eating this way for many years so to lose that extra 16-20 lbs I'd like to lose has been trickier, since I have the changed hormone ratios against me. Two days on the Eat to Live plan which minimizes starchy foods to only 1 cup or so a day seems to be working. It's not so much that they are carbs (the dreaded carb) as the fact that they are higher in calories and not, as Dr Fuhrman would say as nutrient dense as the dark leafy greens, for example.
